Maritime holiday Units are centrally located
at Kings Beach, with an easy 300m walk to
the surf, sandy beaches, cafes, restaurants
and the tavern.
The cafes are very popular with locals and
visitors alike, all walking distance from
the complex. You can also frequent the Kings
Beach Tavern which offers great meals, live
entertainment and poker machines.
The local bowls club has recently undergone
a redevelopment and is one of the hot spots in
Caloundra for good food and entertainment.
The Caloundra RSL club has now won the
Queensland ‘club of the year’ for the third year
running.
Caloundra offers plenty for water sports, with
surfing beaches and breaks at the headlands,
kite surfing at Happy Valley near the passage
entrance, windsurfing in the passage and jet
skis. Boating and fishing are huge drawcards for
both the recreational and the more serious
fisherman.
Those into golf have the choice of the Caloundra
golf club or can try their hand at the
competition course at Pelican Waters. Just a
short drive up the sunshine motorway you can
play the Novotel Twin water and Hyatt Regency
Coolum courses which both offer challenges.
The arts and craft markets are every Sunday in
Caloundra and on Wednesday and Saturday in
Eumundi.
A new boardwalk linking Kings Beach with Bulcock
Beach offers fantastic views and convenience for
walkers and joggers alike.
The redevelopment of the Kings Beach foreshore
now offers a parkland for the whole family with
a children’s playground, outdoor auditorium and
plenty of picnic areas and walking pathways.
